One Young Mindanao

Inspired by the ideals of promoting youth leadership in their community, OYM aims to explore, ignite and nurture the leadership potentials of the youth so that they can genuinely contribute to making Mindanao a better place. The region has long been notorious for being war-torn and plagued with violence due to the terrorists, war lords and clashes between political families. Currently in the first phase, RJ has trained a strong pool of facilitators which goes to the different areas of Mindanao to give empowerment talks to out-of-school youth, students and youth leaders. The impact has been positive due to overwhelming support of the local governments, schools as well as religious organizations. To date, the OYM caravan on empowerment talks (Green Brigade) have been able to interphase with more than 20,000 youths.
