Gems Kids Community Spelling Bee Competition harnesses the ability in kids to be good spellers and speakers. While it builds the pronunciation of kids, the bee spurs a sense of competition which had been crippled for a long period now due to our long year of fighting. From various schools, to communities, district and subsequently at the national level, this Gems Kids Spelling Bee Competition will raise a level of commitment towards study among kids. The Gems Kids Community Spelling Bee is the first of it kind in District 13, Montserrado which started in 2011. It brings together kids between the ages of 10-14 years and the grades of 2-8th every year to test their spelling ability and compete for the Most Prestigious Kid Award in the Iron Factory Community.
