I am passionate about

I am passionate about bridging the technology gap between developing countries and developed ones. While in some parts of the world people can use the Amazon AI empowered personal assistant (Alexa), in another, people still do not have access to running water and electricity. I want to change that. I am a founding member and a project manager at Dalberg Data Insights where we create tools to interpret data and unlock solutions in international development, humanitarian action and social impact. This is the first effort I am taking to address the technological and data gap in emerging markets.

My ambition is to support political leaders and development agencies with better insights so that they can better target and plan development programmes and assess the their impact.

Actions

I am making effort to create change with what I do professionally, as well as outside of my job. At work, I am leading the execution of the projects in my company. With my team, we are developing an epidemiological model for Zika risk flows using mobility flows from telecom data. With such epidemiological mode, we support health workers in Brazil to better target their actions in eradicating Zika. In Uganda, we are developing application to address food security, financial inclusion and urban mobility with the use of better analytics.

Besides my job, I am a member of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum. In Brussels, we work on integration projects where we help unemployed youth learn digital skills.

Lastly, we only create positive change when we love hat we do and have a purpose. Only then, we look positively at the world and manage to inspire others.
