As the UK Expansion Director of Women Who Code, my role is to oversee the UK outreach, which now spans circa 6,000 members across Belfast, London, Bristol and Edinburgh. I manage the country-wide network providing leadership to each of the local regional teams, dealing with all C-level sponsorship from companies wishing to get involved with WWC, and I work daily to make the gender ratio in the tech industry better through being a relatable role model. I brought WWC to the UK at the start of her career due to a lack of role m Through WWC, I have become a positive role model having a real impact on many other women all across the UK. Through Women Who Code I have brought together thousands of women, inspiring them to excel within the technology industry. Alongside my work at WWC, I am currently leading an agile development team delivering an innovative digital solution to support the replacement of legacy applications within a central government department. I also coach practitioners in Business Analysis and Agile development techniques and play a key role in Deloitte’s diversity network. I have featured in Marie Claire Magazine and am a contributor to the Huffington Post areas such as STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and ways to increase the number of girls interested in careers in technology. I have accomplished many things at the age of 26 and I intend to continue to do so as I advance my career whilst championing the "If I can do it, so can you" spirit.
