I am passionate about

Actions

- Volunteering - basketball for children with special needs: when I lived in Tokyo, I volunteered for a basketball group for children with special needs. The volunteering group organised practices and participation in tournaments, with the idea of inspiring the children through sport and helping them to understand the importance of teamwork - Charity work - SLOW: I am treasurer for a London based charity called SLOW for parents’ who have had a child die during their lifetime. In my role, I have helped develop the charities financial accounts, and have also advised on their cash management strategy to maximise yield - Mentoring: I am a mentor for a teenager at a local school, helping him to understand what options are available to him in the future and what steps he needs to take to achieve his goals - Environmental initiatives - recycling champion at work: put up new posters for recycling, lobbied colleagues to turn off screens when going home and to use their own mugs, inspiring others to get involved with the initiative
