I am passionate about

I am passionate about innovating the way we deliver healthcare. For me, challenging the status quo and asking ‘what if?’ is the key to providing healthcare solutions to a much wider, global population. My experience with Johnson & Johnson Medical, has taught me the importance of being both aware and proactive about health. I have seen the impact of how an early diagnosis combined with medical innovation can lead to improved outcomes for patients and their families. I am a firm believer that an active lifestyle can play a major role in improving health. The challenge of improving the health of a growing population will become more difficult over the coming years and I believe that we need to be proactive in finding solutions.

I have always looked to sport as my preferred vehicle to deliver positive change in my community; I also relish the opportunity to push myself out of my comfort zone. Participation in a variety of endurance events has enabled me to complete personal challenges whilst raising funds for a number of charities. In the business arena, volunteering with the Nurse First Program has presented the opportunity to coach and support entrepreneurial healthcare practitioners within the NHS in their efforts to implement change on a local level. Often these individuals have been incredibly passionate about making a difference to their patients, but have required support in making their ideas a reality. Through helping to refine ideas we have been successful in delivering business cases to secure funding, resulting in many of these healthcare initiatives being implemented. Witnessing this first hand is personally rewarding, but more important is the impact that positive change has on people and communities.
