I am passionate about

Actions

I have looked to align both my personal and professional lives to pursuits that create positive change. International: Beacon House Orphanage- I spent my junior year abroad in Accra, Ghana. There, I attended university classes and worked in an orphanage that specializes in fostering vulnerable and at-risk children. STEAM Education- At George P Johnson, I'm working on developing an International campaign aimed at increasing interest in space exploration while also fostering STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education. Country: Cisco Cause Marketing Initiatives- At George P Johnson, I worked on developing Cisco Systems’ Connected Caring program. The program breaks through the limitations of geography and connects celebrities with pediatric cancer patients via Cisco TelePresence, providing sick kids with a positive uplift. Born This Way Foundation- In 2012 I volunteered my event experience to The Lady Gaga Born This Way Foundation and acted as an On Site Manager at the foundation's launch event at Harvard University. The foundation is committed to supporting the wellness of young people, and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world. Habitat for Humanity- As a student, I dedicated two weeks to Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans. NOAHH’s mission is to see that affordable housing is available to everyone in the New Orleans area. In my two weeks, I acted as a construction volunteer, working hands-on to build homes for local struggling musicians. Organization: Know Fun Committee- George P Johnson is an organization dedicated to building and fostering a welcoming and creative culture. As an active member of GPJ’s Know Fun Committee, I work to ensure that our employees aren’t just creating fun and fruitful experiences for our clients, but that they are also engaging in such experiences at our place of work! The experiences we create stimulate creativity and promote work life balance.
