I am passionate about
Experiencing the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear crisis as a relief worker completely changed my worldview. Since then, I have spent the past 7+ years working with NGOs and intergovernmental bodies around the world, most recently with the World Bank.
I am a Consultant at the World Bank, where I specialise on issues related to climate change and disaster risk management. I am also Co-founder and Director of Social Innovation Japan - a platform for social action. My work has spanned over 20 countries, from clean water projects in Haiti to disaster education in Mozambique, to post-earthquake recovery in Nepal. I have 7+ years of full-time experience working with social businesses, NGOs and intergovernmental organisations, including in project management, fundraising, strategy and business development. In 2017, I took on a sponsored expedition, walking 600+km along Japan’s disaster-affected coastline to document the recovery from the 2011 tsunami and Fukushima nuclear crisis.
