Actions

• In 2015, I joined ANN7 news channel as the youngest news anchor and current affairs reporter. Two weeks after my on-air debut, I was promoted to be the host of Africa Tonight. The show is an all-African platform for ordinary Africans, academics, activists and decision makers to debate and discuss issues that are pertinent to our continent. • In 2015, I also became a volunteer and strategist for Pledge a Pad, a non-profit organization that collects and distributes sanitary towels to schools in underprivileged communities around Pretoria. Through the organization, I facilitate workshops on education, sexual health, menstrual health and other topics affecting young high school girls in South Africa. • In 2015 and 2016, I was selected to act as an academic mentor through the University of Pretoria’s mentorship prgramme which is run through its residences. Apart from promoting a culture of academic excellence within the residence, I was tasked with mentoring two first years and helping them to cope with the mental, emotional and academic transition from high school to university. • In 2017, I am completing the final year of my business degree and exploring entrepreneurship with an online business channel (mybigstartup.com) which creates empowering content for start up entrepreneurs in Africa. I host a show called "The Big Deal" which profiles entrepreneurs and young professionals doing great things in their field. • I have also been accepted to take part in a course on Civic Leadership through the Young African Leaders Regional Centre - Southern African hub. The YALI Regional Leadership Centers aim to provide the platform and tools to empower dynamic young Africans and to awaken their innate leadership potential for the benefit of Africa and its global partners.
