ActionsLeadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. She helped to
set up the flagship programme“Leaders to Leaders”, which the new
initiative, to connect delegates of One Young World, Common Purpose, Global
Shapers (an initiative of the World Economic Forum), Teach for China and
other global young leaders with local young leaders to co-create positive
social impacts both locally and globally (Co-creation). Over 20 prominent,
influential young leaders are invited to enlighten and inspire our local
participants through various interactive activities (Cultivating Leaders).
She envisions a bridging platform for the local community and to benefit
members through innovative initiative and interaction (Community Engagement).
She also set up the first Backpack Programme which encourages youngsters to
develop their creativity, leadership and connection through experiencing
their backpack travel with their own social mission. Last year, she helped
over 500 youth to turn their ideas to action. Instead of adopting traditional
top-down approach, young people are fitter to invent than to judge; fitter
for execution than for counsel; and fitter for new projects than for settled
business. As the youths move from place to place, they will learn about the
countries they visit more in depth. Historical and social change, arts,
economy and development, language and religion will be among their findings.
The whole project runs online to touch thousands and thousands of people all
over the world by bringing them together and to learn from each other. By
allocating additional resources to connect local youth to the world, she
hopes to enrich global exposure of youngsters, and strengthen networking and
communication of youth to the world. She believes that by bringing people
together for change, it will keep moving people to prosperity and unity.
