Interfaith Bike Ride

,

The epic journey, completed by Mohamad Assoum and his interfaith team, saw them cycling 1050 km across Australia, stopping to give anti-discrimination seminars. The seminars were targeted at people of all ages and were able to clarify a lot of misconceptions as well as giving rural communities exposure to the various religions of the team, which they would only have otherwise learned about through the media.

The interfaith team has gone on to publicise their mission through interfaith foundations, a documentary and a radio program on ABC. The series of anti-discrimination seminars is currently being rolled out in schools in New South Wales and in universities.

Recently the Justice And Arts Network was launched. JAAN aims to empower youth and address social justice issues through the arts. Performances are organised which allow young people to develop skills and meet other focused youths.
