Cristina Gamboa is the CEO of the World Green Building Council. Prior to joining WorldGBC in November 2018, Gamboa was CEO of Colombia Green Building Council. Thanks to her agile, committed and collaborative leadership style, she achieved multiple milestones that enabled sustainability in infrastructure to become mainstream in her home country. Gamboa's professional expertise also includes economic research, journalism and international affairs. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Los Andes and a Masters degree in International Relations and Economics from SAIS-Johns Hopkins University. A seasoned leader and advocate of radical collaboration, Gamboa leads WorldGBC's coordination of the Cities and Built Environment Day at COP26.
