Gerardo was one of 6 young people (one from each continent) picked from around the world to serve as a UN Citizens’ Ambassador following a global application process on Youtube.
He and the other ambassadors met with Ban Ki-Moon to discuss the issues aired in their application videos, and the UN website notes “Gerardo is currently a member of the international summit “One Young World” and is also preparing for a master's at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.”
