What is STRIVE?

STRIVE is a series of mass participation events that raise money for the Big Change Charitable Trust, an organisation that supports people and projects making a real difference to young people’s lives.

The first event took place in August 2014 and saw participants travel from the centre of London to the summit of the Matterhorn in Switzerland entirely by walking, cycling, sailing and climbing. The challenges are intended to raise money for charity but to also inspire people to set their own goals in life and strive as hard as they can to achieve them.

Strive Challenge 2015

This year’s challenge is a three day hike across Scotland, finishing by climbing the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis.

The first two days will be spent hiking the West Highland Way - which is described one of the top 10 walks in the world! The final day will see participants summit the UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis.

Whilst not quite to the scale of 2014’s challenge, this is not to be scoffed at. No previous experience is required, but participants will be required to have a good level of fitness and stamina. Strivers will be crossing rugged and steep terrain and will be on their feet for a large part of three consecutive days!

When is the Strive Challenge 2015?

Wednesday 8 – Sunday 12 July 2015 (including two days of travel)
