Join us for this event exploring green careers, organised in partnership with the Department for Education and The Prince's Trust as part of the COP26 Green Zone agenda. "So you want a Green job?" will examine existing examples of green careers and offer practical guidance on how young people can access these opportunities in all sectors of the economy.

Julien obtained a bachelor's degree in Business from the Department of International Relations at La Sorbonne. He is apart of the first generation in his family to graduate from university. He recently joined a group of activists from Reunion, raising awareness on social issues with a specific lens on LGBTI+, organising this year the first ever LGBTIQ+ Visibility March in the history of the island. He strongly believes in equal access to health, education and financial literacy.

Jamila is an environment professional, currently working as an Assistant Project Coordinator in the Biodiversity and Conservation Section of the Ministry of Environment and National Beautification in Barbados. She has forged her path to environmental management and education from a young age, growing up in a rural area and curious about how nature works.

Sustainable Energy Junior Engineer at the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

Dominica

Sapphire joined the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency under the Regional Energy Apprenticeship Programme with a focus on project development in the newly launched Project Preparation Facility. In her career thus far, Sapphire has worked with several fascinating initiatives ranging from a long-term infrastructure assessment in St. Lucia to a circular-economy rural electrification project in Northern Uganda.

Zambia

Brighton has worked in the private sector, co-founded Impact Hub Lusaka and KARTON Logistics- a technology-enabled digital logistics platform that aggregates end-to-end logistics to help cargo movers and small business owners become more efficient and viable. Brighton is a 2015 recipient of the Queen's Young Leaders Award from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. In 2016 he became the 1st African to be awarded The WWF International President's Award for his work in sustainable development, climate advocacy, and youth empowerment.
