Our Programmes

One Young World identifies and connects young leaders from every country through our Partner organisations and scholarship programmes. These young leaders join our Community as Ambassadors. One Young World contributes to their development by:

INSPIRING them to increase their social impact

BUILDING their skills and capacity

ELEVATING their profiles locally and globally

Applying this theory, we help create a generation of young leaders with integrity, who have the ability and resources to drive positive change

2022 Manchester

We welcomed over 1,845 Delegates to Manchester, and a further 317 online, with four Hive events taking place simultaneously in New York, Johannesburg, São Paulo, and Okayama. The Summit included 629 fully-funded scholarship places which were contested by over 43,000 applicants.

Delegates were inspired by a diverse selection of 250 expert speakers, with 160 in-person and 90 contributing digitally. They were educated by 66 different workshops, 21 mentor sessions, while 32 exceptional young leaders were elevated as delegate speakers.

Plenaries covered issues relating to conflict prevention, health, gender equality, oceans, and ethical leadership.

Lead2030

Our flagship funding mechanism directs finance and mentorship to SDG solutions created by founders under 30.

This year, 17 prize winners from 12 countries received a combined total of $875,000

Since launching in 2019, Lead2030 has provided $2,075,000 to 40 young leaders in 21 countries.

The chosen Challenge Winners are inspired by their experiences at the Summit, have their capacity built by funding and mentorship from respective Challenge Partners, and elevated by the recognition and association with global companies.

Rebuilding Communities Fund

One Young World was proud to launch our Rebuilding Communities Fund with the support of close Partner, the Brandtech Group, at the Festival of Creativity, Cannes, France.

The fund gave $100,000 to four selected Ambassadors, who each received $25,000.

The selected Ambassadors pitched their initiative to an audience of senior marketing executives, in turn receiving guidance on how to scale their enterprises and grow their reach.

Action Accelerator

The Action Accelerator was created by four young leaders who, upon meeting at the One Young World Summit Bogotá, 2017, quickly identified an opportunity to help fellow young leaders move from inspiration to action across the UN Global Goals.

In 2021, after three years of developing its structure and content, the team launched the exclusive programme for Munich 2021 Delegates.

With support from Ambassador PJ Mistry, founder of the Action Accelerator, One Young World launched the programme globally for all of our Community, with 427 Ambassadors participating in the six-month programme
