First-of-its-kind scholarship goes to Kishore Reddy, a social impact entrepreneur from India
Kishore Reddy has been awarded the first-of-its-kind full-fees One Young World & London Business School Scholarship to study the Masters in Management, one of the School’s world-renowned post-graduate Early Career programmes, starting in September 2020.
It marks the first time One Young World (OYW) has partnered with a university to develop and deliver a scholarship of this type which covers the entire fee and a stipend.
Kishore was recognised for his contribution to delivering positive social impact through his work in job creation and skills training to help empower young unemployed people and women in South and East India to set up businesses developing eco-friendly clothing and accessories. As part of this, he co-founded Youth for Sustainable Impact, a business dedicated to providing solutions to pressing issues through research, education, youth-engagement and skill-development. He was also a Chanel scholar for the One Young World Summit 2019 in London.
This new scholarship has been awarded on a needs and merit basis and was aimed exclusively at members of the 12,000+ strong community of OYW ‘Ambassadors’. Candidates were required to embody the principles of OYW and LBS and be committed to leveraging responsible business practices to realise positive social change. LBS will meet all programme tuition fees and include a stipend to assist with living costs for the duration of the programme in London.
