David Jones is a leading proponent of corporate responsibility and social change and was recognised as The Guardian’s Sustainable Business Leader 2013. He and Kate Robertson co-founded One Young World in 2009.
David was the driving force behind Kofi Annan’s TckTckTck Campaign for Climate Justice and is the creator of the Social Business Idea, and the author of best-selling book Who Cares Wins: Why Good Business Is Better Business, published in 2011 by Pearson/Financial Times Publishing in more than 50 countries, and which was the bestselling business book on Amazon UK at launch.
Over his long career in business David has advised and spoken to many of the world’s leading companies and organisations on purpose and sustainability. Some highlights are serving on L’Oréal’s Critical Friends advisory board and AB Inbev’s Better World sustainability advisory board, as well as advisory roles and speaking engagements for AB Inbev, Estée Lauder, Google, Kering, L’Oréal LVMH, Meta, Mondelēz, Novartis, Pernod Ricard, Reckitt, Richemont, TATA, Uber, Unilever, Association of National Advertisers, World Federation of Advertisers, Incorporated Society of British Advertisers, International Advertising Association, Elephant Crisis Fund, The B Team, Malaria No More, TED, and the UN Foundation.
David is committed to driving change for women leaders and is Male Champion of Change in Technology for the Champions of Change Coalition, which works to achieve gender equality and advance more and diverse women in leadership. He is also a HeForShe Champion. He is a long-time mentor for The Marketing Academy, where he also focuses on supporting women's leadership journeys, and he has taken the "Panel Pledge" to increase the visibility and contribution of women and diverse leaders in public and professional forums.
In June 2015 David launched The Brandtech Group to help global brands do their marketing better, faster and cheaper. The company is now the #1 digital-only marketing group and the world's leading Generative AI marketing company and has 7,000 employees in 40 countries. Previously, David was the youngest global CEO in the history of advertising, heading both Havas and Havas Worldwide, and the only British CEO of a French publicly-traded company.
David was named one of Britain’s 500 Most Influential People by The Sunday Times, was recognised by Goldman Sachs as one of 2025’s Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs and by the French Ministry of Culture-backed Grand Prix des Agence d l'Année as Entrepreneur of the Year 2025. He also sits on the board of the British & Irish Lions.
