Danny Bartlett is a One Young World Ambassador from the UK who is passionate about youth involvement in democracy. He founded the organisation Hand's Up, Who's Bored to break through the yawn barrier of British politics and turn apathy into action!

Mahamoud Omar is a One Young World Ambassador from Djibouti . He is passionate about providing people with access to healthcare. He works with vulnerable communities living in Djibouti  including Ethiopian, Yemeni and Somalilander migrant communities.

The scale of the problem

Djibouti is like many other African countries attempting to eradicate malaria in their territories. Since 2006, the Ministry of Health has been providing care through a nationwide programme.

Ludovic Cottier is a One Young World Ambassador from France who recently created ‘The Other You’, a non-profit organisation that aims to connect children around the world through toys. Ludo founded the project with Ana Seco Diaz, another young leader passionate about creating positive change in the world.

Juliane is a One Young World Ambassador from Germany who has studied and worked in South Africa. She founded Bridges Camp to overcome prejudices and racism in 10-14 year olds by providing them with a safe space to get to know young people from other ethnic backgrounds.

Bridges Camp has a development model in which the young participants receive leadership training. They are then invited to return to the camp and run activities for the next cohort.

Tanjila is a One Young World Ambassador from Bangladesh currently working for BRAC. She is passionate about female empowerment, education and facilitating dialogue between marginalised minority groups.

There are only a few moments in life that are truly crystal clear, when those entangled ideas in your head finally come together like pieces in a puzzle and start making sense.

Some people call them “aha” moments – I call them “OYW” moments.

The One Young World 2013 Summit in Johannesburg gave me more crystal clear moments than any other experience I’ve had. One of them was watching the guys from Decoded explain in just three minutes the evolution of Internet and programming code.

Dr. Freeman Osonuga is a One Young World Ambassador from Nigeria. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Heal The World Foundation Nigeria and was named one of the 'Ten Outstanding Young Persons In Nigeria' in 2013. In his blog, Freeman reflects on his experience as part of the African Union's Ebola response mission in Sierra Leone.

Mensa Kwami Tsedze is a One Young World Ambassador from Togo. He is a youth activist with a passion for environmental and conservation initiatives. He is the leader of the IDEAS for US movement in Togo, and plays a large role in engaging young people in environmental causes across Africa.
