Trump’s Paris withdrawal must galvanise climate action, not discourage it

Two years ago, One Young World Ambassadors from 196 countries joined their voices calling for their country’s leaders to deliver an urgent and binding agreement to tackle climate change at COP21.  Weeks later the negotiation of the Paris Agreement, promised to deliver the global action they and the world’s youth called for. President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the agreement is a significant blow to the hopes of young people who will inherit a world defined by the actions today’s leaders take on climate.

Justin Trudeau asks Pope Francis to apologise for “cultural genocide”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has asked Pope Francis to apologise for the Catholic Church’s role in what has been described as an act of “cultural genocide” that saw indigenous children forcibly removed from their families and made to attend Canadian boarding schools.

The request for an apology is a significant landmark in a long campaign fought by One Young World Counsellor and human rights campaigner Senator Murray Sinclair over the damage caused by the infamous residential schools system.

To solve this growing issue, twin Moroccan Ambassadors Yassir and Ilyes El Ouarzadi and their business partner launched DAABA, a digital platform and mobile application which allows users to search and communicate with law practitioners in their local areas.
