The Opening Ceremony of the One Young World Summit 2015 will convey the diverse cultures of Thailand’s four regions.
Delegates will be welcomed on a flotilla of boats taking them to venues on the Chao Phraya River. The river has been integral to Bangkok’s development. It is lined with ancient temples, modern architecture, and serves as a symbolic location for welcoming international guests.
After the flotilla processing, delegates are taken to the formal open ceremony at Sanam Luang, located in the historic centre of Bangkok. Sanam Luang has stunning views of the Grand Palace, the seat of the Thai Royal Family since 1782. This will be the first non-Royal event held at Sanam Luang in its entire history.
The theme of the After Party is ‘Thai Ancient Markets’, where the 1,300 delegates will enjoy traditional markets from Thailand’s four regions.
