Our annual programme to turn big ideas into action

Action Accelerator 2026

Ambassadors from the 2025 One Young World Summit in Munich are eligible for the Action Accelerator 2026. Spanning from January to June 2026, this year’s programme is entirely online and will feature modules, live webinars with expert speakers and cohort-based interactive activities. 

After registration, Ambassadors will be assigned into working groups with a mentor who will help them navigate through the content at their own pace. Ambassadors will receive accreditation upon completion. 

The programme will conclude with a Practice Pitch Competition that will give Ambassadors an opportunity to showcase their work and pitching skills before a panel of expert judges.

The winners of the Practice Pitch competition will receive access to the 2026 One Young World Summit in Cape Town.

Programme Information

1. Core Webinars

Time Commitment: 2 hours of online engagement

The live webinars will give Ambassadors an opportunity to interact with experts in the field and engage with their peers in the Action Accelerator programme. The live webinars will be hosted once every three months. The recording of the live webinars will be made available on the learning platform.

  1. Webinar: Vision and Mission Setting - In this live session, participants will discuss the process of setting out their vision and mission to maximise the solution’s impact.
  2. Webinar: The Art of Storytelling - Participants will delve deeper into practical knowledge about the role of impactful storytelling in customer retention, value perception and presentation of the initiative.
     

2. Learning Modules

Time commitment : 4 hours of self-paced learning.

All the modules will include video recording of an expert speaker followed by a quiz and optional bank of readings, podcasts, and other materials to help in retention of learning. The  modules will be released in phases.

  3. Build Your Team
  4. How to fundraise for social change
  5. Build Your Brand
  6. Understand Your Impact
     

3. Cohort-based activities

Time Commitment: Minimum 3 hours (subjective)

Upon registration Ambassadors will be allocated to a working group with their peers and a mentor to help them navigate the content of the programme and utilise networking opportunities within the programme to the fullest.

The working groups will meet every three months over the span of the programme under the guidance of the mentor and will also have a space on the community platform to interact with each other. The working groups will also be able to apply for the practice pitch competition together!
