Monge Foundation is seeking the very best young leaders in Central America that are generating a positive impact towards the Social Development goals. They are particularly interested in applicants that are working on education, climate change, sustainable agriculture and poverty alleviation.
Who can apply
Applicants must be aged between 18-24 years old at the time of the Summit.
Applicants with the following nationalities will be considered for this scholarship: Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
What does the scholarship provide?
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2019 in London
- Hotel accommodation on a shared basis between 22 and 26 October 2019
- The cost of travel to and from London (flights in economy)
- Catering which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue
- Summit hand-outs and support materials
About Monge Foundation
Monge Foundation Monge is a non-profit organization that promotes access to education for young Central Americans as an instrument of social mobility, combatting poverty, and personal improvement. With over 12 years of experience, this Foundation has supported more than 1,500 young Central Americans by offering them many opportunities for their adequate personal, academic and professional development.

To promote young students from public high schools in vulnerable conditions and at social risk, and who reside in communities where Grupo Monge operates, have access to education as an instrument of social mobility, combatting poverty, and personal improvement.

To generate better conditions and opportunities for young Central Americans, in order for them to conclude their high school studies, enrol in a technical career, and successfully enter the labour market.
