Acerca de esta Beca
Tras el éxito del Programa Jóvenes Líderes Barranquilla de 2022, One Young World relanzará la beca para 2023. La nueva cohorte de líderes será seleccionada sobre la base de su compromiso con el cambio positivo y las iniciativas de impacto. A lo largo del año, participarán en diversas oportunidades de desarrollo, incluida la Cumbre One Young World One Young World 2023 en Belfast. Con este enfoque, la Alcaldía de Barranquilla, Lean Solutions Group, Fundación Santodomingo y Nuestra Barranquilla colaborarán con One Young World para apoyar sus objetivos estratégicos actuales y continuar promoviendo el trabajo de líderes jóvenes e innovadores en Barranquilla.

Desarrollo Social, inclusión población migrante, liderazgo juvenil, innovación social, proyectos con enfoque diferencial.
Notas adicional:
El dominio del idioma inglés no es un requisito para la aplicación a la beca, serán escogidos los jóvenes con proyectos sociales más destacables. El idioma inglés no será un elemento excluyente, sin embargo, sumará valor a la postulación del jóven.
¿Qué proporciona la beca?
- Acceso a la Cumbre One Young World 2023 en Belfast
- Afiliación de por vida a la comunidad OYW
- Alojamiento en hotel entre el 2 y el 5 de octubre de 2023 (ambos incluidos) para la Cumbre
- Una noche de hotel (si es necesario) para el proceso de solicitud de visado
- Noche adicional el 1 de octubre previa a la Cumbre
- Los gastos de viaje de ida y vuelta a Belfast (vuelos en clase turista)
- Gastos de viaje interno al aeropuerto para tomar el vuelo internacional (vuelo en clase económica)
- Gastos de viaje para la tramitación del visado (si es necesario)
- Gastos de visado, si procede (incluidos los gastos de visado y los desplazamientos necesarios para la cita del visado)
- Restauración que incluye el desayuno en el hotel de alojamiento y, el almuerzo y la cena en la Cumbre
- Transporte entre el alojamiento y la sede de la Cumbre
- 7 días de gastos diarios (£20 por día)
- Seguro de viaje entre el 2 y el 5 de octubre de 2023
- Servicios de traducción para la ceremonia de apertura, las sesiones plenarias y la ceremonia de clausura

¿Quién puede solicitar la beca?
Deberías solicitar este programa si:
- Tienes entre 18 y 30 años
- Resides en la ciudad de Barranquilla
- Lideras o haces parte de un proyecto de impactio social donde se evidencie tú contribución y liderazgo al impactio positivo de la ciudad
- Demuestras capacidad de liderazgo
- Has demostrado tu compromiso con un cambio positivo
- Tienes un buen conocimiento de los principales retos locales y mundiales
- Tienes un historial de generación de ideas impactantes e innovadoras
- Tienes el deseo y estás dispuesto a comprometerte para replicar los aprendizajes de la beca y apoyar a los proyectos de impacto social positivo de los aliados patrocinadores
- No estas inscrito/a como aspirante a ningún cargo de elección popular para las elecciones del 29 de octubre del 2023
- Enviar un video motivacional, no mayor a 2 minutos, respondiendo lo siguiente:

About the Scholarship
Following the success of the Barranquilla Young Leaders Programme of 2022, One Young World will re-launch the scholarship for 2023. The new cohort of leaders will be selected on the basis of their commitment to positive change and impactful initiatives. Throughout the year, they will participate in various development opportunities, including the One Young World One Young World 2023 Summit in Belfast. With this approach, the city of Barranquilla, Lean Solutions Group, Fundación Santodomingo and Nuestra Barranquilla will collaborate with One Young World to support their current strategic objectives and continue to promote the work of young, innovative leaders in Barranquilla.
Topics of interest:
Social development, inclusion of migrant populations, youth leadership, social innovation, projects with differential approach.
Additional notes:
Fluency in English is not a requirement for the application to the scholarship. The young leaders with the most outstanding social projects will be chosen. The English language will not be an excluding element, however, it will add value to the young person's application.
What does the scholarship provide?
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast
- Lifetime membership to the OYW community
- Hotel accommodation between 2–5 (inclusive) October 2023 for the Summit
- One night of hotel accommodation (if required) for the visa application process
- Additional night on the 1st of October pre-summit
- The cost of travel to and from Belfast (flights in economy)
- Domestic travel costs to the airport to take the international flight (flight in economy)
- Travel to the visa application process (if required)
- Visa costs, if applicable (including visa costs and required travel for visa appointment)
- Catering which includes breakfast at the hotel accommodation and, lunch and dinner at the Summit
- Transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue
- 7 days of daily expenses (£20 per day)
- Travel Insurance between 2 – 5 October 2023
- Translation services for the Opening Ceremony, Plenary Sessions and Closing Ceremony
- Post-Summit mentorship sessions Access to post-Summit development opportunities
Who should apply?
You should apply for this program if you:
- You are between 18 and 30 years old
- You live in the city of Barranquilla
- You lead or are part of a social impact project where your contribution and leadership to the positive impact of the city is evident
- You demonstrate leadership capacity
- You have demonstrated your commitment to positive change
- You have a good understanding of key local and global challenges
- You have a track record of generating impactful and innovative ideas
- You have the desire and are willing to commit to replicate the learnings from the fellowship and support the positive social impact projects of sponsoring partners
- You are not registered as a candidate for any elected office for the elections of 29 October 2023.
- Submit a motivational video, no longer than 2 minutes, responding to the following:
