Her Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi

Her Excellency Mrs. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi is a distinguished youth advocate in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Appointed as Minister of Youth Affairs in 2022, she is the youngest minister in the government. Her Excellency has played an active role in fostering greater engagement with youth and amplifying their voices in shaping the strategic direction of youth programs and initiatives.

Her Excellency has been instrumental in implementing innovative policies and initiatives that have significantly contributed to the development of the youth sector. These programs focus on leadership development and community engagement, ensuring that the youth of Bahrain are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the future.

Prior to her ministerial appointment, Her Excellency served as a Credit Risk Manager at the National Bank of Kuwait in Bahrain. Before that, she held various positions at the Bahrain Development Bank across Business Advisory, Financial Controls, and Credit Review, ultimately becoming Director of Credit Review.

Her Excellency holds a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Accounting from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), a Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management from the City and Guilds of London Institute, and is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA).

She currently serves as a member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, the Supreme Health Council, and the National Committee for Drug Control, and is Chair of the Youth Empowerment Committee in the Public and Private Sectors. She has also represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at numerous international forums and conferences, advocating for global collaboration.
