South African Rugby Player and Winner of the 2019 Rugby World Cup
Tendai Mtawarira, known as ‘The Beast’, is one of the most legendary rugby players from South Africa. Having since retired with numerous recognitions for his sport, his legacy has continued through his community work over the last 10 years. Mtawarira founded his organization, the Beast Foundation, in 2020. The foundation’s goal is to empower young people to pursue their dreams by providing sports training and skills development and education opportunities. As a young boy, Mtawarira had a large drive for success prompting his move from his home country of Zimbabwe to South Africa in search of something more. Today, through his community work and partnerships with multiple organizations such as Lead and Higherlife Foundation, he is able to inspire future generations to follow their passions. Recently, he has become the CEO of a South African security company, and to further his success, he is pursuing an MBA degree at Henley Business School.
