From May 30 to June 6, Singapore will be host of UNLEASH 2018 and provide the perfect space for the second cohort of 1,000 young talents to develop new, innovative and disruptive solutions to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

What will happen at UNLEASH2018
Singapore Kick-Off: May 30 - 31
Talents are introduced to the Sustainable Development Goals, and cutting edge innovation, technology, and sustainability.
SDG Innovation Lab: June 1 - June 4
Talents convene around 7 core SDG drivers at 10 locations to collaborate, co-create and generate tangible solutions to SDG challenges.
Culmination and UNLEASH Awards Show: June 5 - 6
UNLEASH culminates with massive collaboration activities and final award show. The best solutions will be given awards and some of the most influential people in the world will speak about the importance of the 2030 Agenda.
Who should apply?
UNLEASH accepts top talents typically aged 20-35. Successful applicants will excel across 5 general criteria.
- Demonstrated passion and commitment to solving one of the world’s pressing challenges.
- Possession of a creative and innovative mindset.
- Willingness to engage in co-creation with peers and experts.
- High proficiency in English with the ability to engage in complex discussions.
Furthermore, talents should match at least one of four talent profiles.
- Entrepreneur: Recently launched/or considered launching start-ups, organizations or campaigns at a very early stage (both non- and for-profit).
- Intrapreneur: Improved or changed entities, e.g. through R&D, business development or organizational changes.
- Academic: Top class academic with in-depth content knowledge, e.g. via courses, research projects or a PhD.
- Technical expert: Posses skills, tools and know-how (e.g. with engineering, design or finance) enabling development of physical or software based solutions.
What does this cost?
You need to pay your flight tickets (and visa if needed) up front. After the program you will get your flight tickets reimbursed to your bank account. You will be reimbursed up to the flatrate for the city that you will be traveling to UNLEASH from. You will submit all the information required for your reimbursement when you submit information on your travel plans.
How to apply
If you are interested in receiving One Young World’s nomination to participate in UNLEASH2018 apply below by 4 February 2018. UNLEASH will only accept applications from individuals, not teams.
Nominated Ambassadors will then go through a fast tracked application process conducted by UNLEASH. Selected Ambassadors will receive a fully funded place on the UNLEASH2018 programme. UNLEASH will respond by early March 2018. Please note that a Singaporean visa will be required.
