Fabian is an entrepreneur at the forefront of educational and workforce innovation in Latin America. He has spent his career getting young people through school, and getting them hired for what they can actually do.
In 2009 he founded Open Green Road, an EdTech company closing learning gaps across the region. Two programmes encompassed in the initiative, PuntajeNacional and AprendoLibre, prepare students for university entrance exams in Chile, Colombia and Mexico. A third programme, Graduate, helps adults who left school finish secondary education. More than 5 million students and 200,000 teachers have used these platforms.
Fabian also founded Genomawork to change how companies hire: instead of screening CVs by school or last name, candidates play gamified assessments and talk to AI interview assistants, so talent shows up before background does. Today it works with 1,500 companies and 4.5 million people have played to apply for a job, across 20 countries in Latin America plus Brazil and Spain. In March 2025 Redarbor, the second largest job board group in the world, acquired the company. He hopes to level the playing field, so people get hired for their talent and not for their contacts, where they come from or their last name.
“After the Summit, I realised that the way you show others what you're doing is important. One of the key impacts that One Young World has had on our project is this thing about marketing actively, trying to not only do the thing but showing what you're doing. After the Summit, I realised that I have made so much impact, I've impacted so many students, and I’ve also built up my public speaking skills as a result to present this.”
