We are committed to ensuring that the One Young World Summit in Cape Town this year has a lasting positive impact on our host city and its young people.
To help achieve this, we are proud to announce the formation of our Cape Town Community Committee. The Committee exists to support One Young World in embedding lasting change for young leaders in Cape Town, before, during and after the Summit.
The Committee plays a key role in delivering the One Young World Legacy Plan, designed to provide a lasting impact in our host city with direct action towards youth unemployment.
This Legacy Plan will be delivered through mutually reinforcing programmes that address the full employment ecosystem, from job creation, to job access, to strengthening grassroots delivery.
The programmes are focused on youth employment and opportunities through entrepreneurship, skills pathways, Ambassador-led engagement, and stronger corporate commitments to creating opportunities for young people
