One Young World has partnered with USAID to help develop young leaders who are positively impacting their communities through service, activism, advocacy, education and entrepreneurship.

The USAID YouthLead Scholarship launched in 2023, giving young leaders the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and promote their work through a one-year programme, connecting people, ideas and resources to tackle critical issues affecting young people around the world. The programme included peer-to-peer sessions, speaking engagements and mentorship sessions with experts.

“USAID is proud to partner with One Young World. The 2023 USAID YouthLead Scholars exemplify the success of the One Young World programming, showcasing how dedicated training, skill-building, and a commitment to expanding access for more young people to resources opens up opportunities for a new generation of leaders. In 2024, we look forward to supporting a cohort of 15 young Indigenous people from 15 countries to the One Young World Summit in Montreal and experience the transformative impact of its global community first-hand.”
