Amani Simpson uses storytelling to spark change that reaches far beyond the screen.
He is an award-winning social entrepreneur, filmmaker, and the founder of AVIARD, and for the past 17 years he has been helping young people rise above adversity through creativity, opportunity, and purpose.
After surviving a near-fatal knife attack at just 21, Amani made a decision to turn his pain into purpose. What could have ended his story became the beginning of a lifelong mission to ignite hope in others.
Since then, he has delivered high-impact initiatives in partnership with organisations including The Mayor of London and Goldman Sachs, as well as working alongside global figures such as Anthony Joshua. Through culturally grounded and authentic programmes, he has supported thousands of young people across the UK.
His acclaimed short films, AMANI and SAVE ME, explore difficult themes like exploitation and youth violence, while shining a light on redemption and resilience. Today, both films are used nationally in schools and professional settings to spark reflection and inspire action.
Amani has been recognised as a Next Gen Trailblazer by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and previously served as the UK South Youth Representative for the Global Jamaican Diaspora Council.
Now, he is building HopeHub, a digital personal growth platform designed to help young people turn ambition into action and build futures they can be proud of.
