Diwigdi Valiente is a Global Senior Program Manager for Coral Conservation at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). With over a decade of experience leading conservation, climate, and sustainable tourism initiatives across public institutions and international platforms. A member of the Guna Indigenous Peoples of Panama’s Caribbean coast, Diwigdi bridges global strategy with Indigenous knowledge to advance coral reef conservation and community-centred solutions. At WCS, he leads the implementation of a global coral strategy, coordinating over 70 collaborators across 18 countries.
