Janu Muhammad (Indonesia) is an agri-social entrepreneur with over nine years of experience in food security, youth empowerment, and community development. He is the Founder of Sayur Sleman (est. 2020), a platform providing premium melon products, regenerative farming programs, and agribusiness training that empower local farmers through climate-smart agriculture. Janu has collaborated with grassroots communities and multi-stakeholders to advance the SDGs, particularly poverty alleviation, food security, decent work, and sustainable consumption. He is a Young Ambassador of Agriculture appointed by Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture and an SDG Certified Leader, having reached more than 70,000 young people through the Sayur Sleman Academy and national youth initiatives. Janu is a One Young World (OYW) Ambassador, recipient of the IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship, winner of the OYW Action Accelerator Pitch Competition 2025, and a delegate to the One Young World Summits (Montreal 2024, Munich 2025) and the Skoll World Forum 2025 at the University of Oxford. He also serves as a Senior Fellow of the Equity Initiative, an ASEAN Youth Fellow, and RCE Regional Youth Coordinator for Asia-Pacific. With his new appointment as One Young World Coordinating Ambassador for Southeast Asia, he aspires to contribute to regional impact through the One Young World community.
