Ms. Joleen “Jo” Ngoriakl, a 2018 One Young World Ambassador and European Commission Peace Ambassador, is a Palauan leader in digital safety, social inclusion, and Indigenous rights. With 10 years of experience in political strategy, policy, governance, and GEDSI, she has advanced peacebuilding and online safety across her community and region. In 2017, she founded Palau’s Digital Citizenship Initiative, delivering nationwide awareness and training on digital responsibility. Passionate about ethical AI and ICT policy, Jo has consulted for the UN, regional bodies, and international agencies, including the pilot Digital Resilience Project under the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific.
