Lucy Morgan

Lucy Morgan is a multi-award-winning journalist whose work explores the intersection of AI technology and violence against women and girls (VAWG). As Digital & Purpose Director at Glamour, Lucy put VAWG at the centre of the brand's identity, through original reporting, coalition-building, and survivor-oriented storytelling, to inform and empower Glamour's global community of young women and girls.

Lucy created the national Stop Image-Based Abuse campaign, in partnership with EVAW, Professor Clare McGlynn, Jodie Campaigns, and Not Your Porn, using impact journalism to campaign for two successive governments to criminalise the creation of non-consensual deepfakes, as well as successfully pushing for the introduction of 48-hour take-down orders for tech companies hosting abusive images, the criminalisation of semen-defaced images, and for so-called ‘nudification’ apps to be banned.

Lucy broke the news on X's AI chatbot Grok creating sexual 'deepfakes' of women – seven months before it hit the mainstream. She commissioned and edited a groundbreaking exposé of sexualised images of minors on TikTok, and an exclusive investigation into the disturbing rise of synthetic doppelgänging on TikTok and Instagram, which specifically targets young Black women.

Lucy won Best Campaign and Best Specialist Writer (Consumer) at the BSME Talent Awards in 2025, the Impact Journalist award at Refuge's Tech Safety Awards in 2025, and a PPA Next Gen Award in 2023.
