Mathias Charles is the co-founder of Live Love Beirut (@livelovebeirut) and Live Love Recycle (@liveloverecycle), two groundbreaking initiatives that have redefined civic engagement and environmental action in Lebanon. Over the past decade, he has focused on developing scalable, community-driven solutions to pressing social and ecological challenges.
With Live Love Beirut, Mathias helped transform a grassroots storytelling campaign into a nationwide movement rooted in hope, volunteerism, and collective pride. Through creative media, citizen-led initiatives, and large-scale volunteer programs, the movement has empowered thousands of young people to take ownership of their communities and contribute to a more positive national narrative.
In 2015, in response to Lebanon’s severe waste crisis, Mathias co-founded Live Love Recycle, a social enterprise that leverages technology to address urban environmental issues. The platform offers free, on-demand recycling pickup services, enabling citizens to act where public systems have failed.
