Reece Placid

CEO, Believe & Achieve London

Reece Placid is a vibrant and energising entrepreneur with a compelling purpose – he is dedicated to enhancing opportunity for less advantaged younger folk through close mentoring and skills transfer. Reece is the founder and CEO of Believe&Achieve  - a fresh fully ‘ designed by him clothing experience ‘ bringing colour, quality & comfort together for that strong urban sports feel; now a dynamic and profitable business he founded 6 years ago as a joke to fend off case worker hassles, with worldwide sales and global production, the name Believe&Achieve, caught at the tail-end of a gym session, has become an identity and a cause. From his youngest troublesome years, Reece made magical rhythm with his football feet and quickly got signed to UK & international top teams from the USA to Gibraltar & Scotland to Woking playing full time and now semi professional football but not just football, once England youth Table Tennis Champion.

In addition, Reece invests himself in the potential of others through being the Chair of the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust Youth Board and a main Trustee; being co-leader of MyBrothersKeeper – a highly effective unique prison and prisoner intervention support network guiding complex and once violent young men to positive outcomes and being the UK Ambassador for The Street Soccer Foundation. Reece’s greatest joy is to see young people who lack opportunity or have complex needs, find a way through to responsible independence and he takes huge delight in mentoring a network of young students in Nairobi, Kenya all of whom look to him for wisdom and often basic sustenance. Reece is known for dedication to the long game of life’s next steps – he is generous, engaging and trusted as a bright light of hope.
