Yodhikson M. “Dicky” Bang, from the Matulelang Tribal group in Alor Island, Indonesia, is Program Manager at Thresher Shark Indonesia, a youth-led NGO conserving endangered thresher sharks and supporting coastal communities. He leads projects on marine resource conservation, small-scale fisheries empowerment, marine education in schools, and alternative livelihoods for former shark fishers across Alor, Flores, and Banda. He also supports a new mobula ray conservation initiative in East Flores. Formerly with Humanity Inclusion, he advanced economic access for vulnerable groups. As Youth Leader in his church, Dicky promotes environmental awareness and collective action to reduce plastic waste.
