Ethics and Sustainability Manager at John Lewis Partnership

Danielle has spent over eight years driving socially and environmentally responsible change in large flagship organisations. She is currently an Ethics & Sustainability Manager at the John Lewis Partnership, predominantly working for the food and grocery brand Waitrose & Partners. She has a strong interest in sustainable food systems and social impact, and in recent years has delivered projects and campaigns which make positive improvements in the areas of plastics, packaging and food waste. In 2019, she launched Plan Plastic - the MillionPound Challenge, which gave away grants totalling £1 million to not-for-profit organisations tackling the causes and impacts of plastic pollution. Danielle has also been one of the core leaders of Waitrose Unpacked. A project which took over 200 products out of packaging in one shop, to successfully test the zero-waste store concept in a mainstream UK supermarket. Danielle has been a One Young World Ambassador since 2012.
