Carlos Eduardo Vargas Palencia

Carlos is a Delegate Speaker for the 2015 Leadership and Government Plenary Session.

He is also the Founder of the UCAB Debate Society and was a participant and award winner at the Spanish World Debating Championship. He also participated in the Harvard Model United Nations and the Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition. Carlos has also volunteered in Venezuelan prisons and educated children in poor communities about public value. He was elected Vice-President of the Law Student Council and then Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the UCAB General Council of Student Representatives. Last year, he was chosen to be the representative of the Venezuelan Student Movement at the Organisation of American States. More recently, Carlos was a participant of the Fourth Youth Forum at the Seventh Summit of the Americas, on the Working Table of Democratic Governance and Citizen Participation. Carlos has organised assemblies and protests all over his country to fight against corruption.
