Jacky Rowland has reported on many of the most important news events of recent years, first for the BBC and then for Aljazeera. Her coverage from the former Yugoslavia was recognised by a Royal Television Society Award, while her reporting on the Arab Spring won her an Outstanding Contribution to Broadcast Journalism award from the Next Century Foundation. She shares her knowledge through journalism workshops in the disadvantaged suburbs of Paris, and media training for charities and other organisations.
