Known for her tenacity in driving social change and development, Mavis Elias is a multi-faceted youth leader. A qualified civil engineer, she is presently pursuing a masters degree in Globalisation, Business and Development at the University of Sussex. Mavis is an internationally acclaimed public speaker, award-winning blogger, and philanthropist. As a founder of the poverty eradication and sustainable development intervention NGO – 'The EM Love Foundation,' Mavis has facilitated workshops and implement intervention efforts for vulnerable groups in Namibia. She has contributed to the implementation of providing microfinance services to the marginalized, to upskill and upscale informal businesses for economic inclusion. As a Director of the One Economy Foundation, Queens’ Young Leader, Global Forum for Youth Leaders delegate, National Housing Enterprise Ambassador, One Young World Leading Change delegate and brand marketing executive, Mavis has worked with international organizations to advocate for poverty eradication, sustainable development and interrogating policy for social inclusion.
