One Young World Coordinating Ambassador for Canada, Martina Buchal, has recently announced her latest project entitled “The Empowered Me.” This goal of this project is to create a personalized guide for young leaders to expand their skills and knowledge, where clients participate online. “The Empowered Me” offers a variety of different programs depending on one’s desired goals and skills. The project offers support and assistance for those looking to further advance their journey towards leadership.

“I realized we all have one thing in common: as we walk through the early phases of our leadership journey, we can often feel a little lost in finding our way- from deciding what we want to do, to then taking the empowered steps to get to where we are going,” Martina explains. “We need to develop essential skills, gather tools, and create a map for our success, but it is not always easy to know where to turn for help.”

Martina continues to inspire young leaders from all over the world to enact positive change. Her newest project is a way to help others along their personal journey and to aid leadership development. The project’s virtual approach allows it to be easily accessible to young leaders everywhere by incorporating Skype calls, supplementary readings, and an assessment package with customized results.

Martina's most recent project launch is just one of her many accomplishments. Martina was crowned the winner of Your Big 3, a global competition that measures the social impact of young leaders, and is traveling the world as a World Merit Global Ambassador. Additionally, she works as the Associate Executive Director of the Canadian Institute of Applied Negotiation, an organisation whose aim is to prevent and resolve critical problems and to create sustainable peace.

Previously, Martina has worked for the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario, the Senate of Canada, as well as the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Canada . She has also been featured as a speaker for EC Language Schools, Summit of the Americas, and the United Nations Educators Conference on Human Rights. She was also the panelist of Goethe Institute’s Cultural Innovation Days and SOCAP (Social Capital Markets), in addition to her involvement with multiple other conferences across the globe. She continues to seek out new ways to empower youth to their full leadership potential - all across the globe.
