What is the Rising Star programme?
As representatives of many of the world’s best known humanitarians, entertainers and entrepreneurs including Sir Bob Geldof, Elle Macpherson, John Simpson, CBE and Boris Becker, talent management and speaker agency Kruger Cowne have joined with One Young World, the preeminent global forum for young leaders aged 18-30, to launch a global search for a young icon of the future and catapult them into the future of travel – upon the XCOR Lynx® Spacecraft into outer space.
What will I do on the programme?
The Rising Star programme, which launched at the One Young World Summit 2014 in Dublin, invites both One Young World Ambassadors and outstanding members of the public aged 18-35, to nominate themselves to take on the trip of a lifetime. If you are selected for the programme you will not only embark on a once in a lifetime flight to space but will also be offered a three year management contract with Kruger Cowne to assist you with possible publishing, TV and public appearances. Whether your skill set lies in social entrepreneurship, business, sport, the creative industries or another sector, Kruger Cowne will accelerate the chosen applicant’s success by connecting them with some of the world’s most accomplished influencers. The trip into space is just the beginning.
Three impressive finalists chosen from our final 30, will be flown to Bangkok in November to attend the One Young World Summit 2015, where they will take to the stage in front of an audience of 1,300 delegates to deliver an inspirational speech on a topic of their choice. An established panel of One Young World Counsellors will deliberate before announcing on stage their chosen Rising Star.
