The project aims to inform young people and inspire them to care.
1. Be informed - Informing young people about One Young World, the resolutions and the reality of global issues
2. Care - Inspiring young people to care about global issues
3. Take action - Challenging young people to take action and be a part of solutions in their communities
The first programme took place on the 22nd of March 2010, when One Young World Ghana partnered with the Academy of Young Writers-Ghana and students of the University of Ghana. Together they organised a climate change programme called “The Climate Reality” where young people discussed climate issues and brainstormed practical solution to combat climate change. The outcome was a set of messages designed to put pressure on Ghanaian government to take legal action to protect the environment.
