Kevin is the founder and CEO of the Adonai Center for Black Males. Based in Pittsburgh, Adonai aims to address urban disparities and improve the social, educational and economic advancement of black males.

Adonai currently delivers programmes in three Pittsburgh public high schools. The core of the programme involves training students through 16 areas of competency including academic achievement, financial literacy, community service, and entrepreneurship.

Since its foundation in 2009, the Adonai Center has provided training to over 200 young men of which 70% have matriculated to post-secondary training and college. Additionally, they have provided leadership development training to over 500 young men through an annual conference and leadership summit.

In August 2014, Adonai was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Institute for Black Male Achievement, (IBMA) based in Boston. The grant was one of 20 awarded nationwide as part of the organisation’s inaugural capacity building grant-making programme.

In 2015 Kevin was elected as the School Board Director for Pittsburgh’s District 8. In this position he is responsible for 25,000 students, selecting the Chief Academic Officer, and overseeing a budget of nearly $600 million US Dollars. After November's General Election, Kevin will be the youngest elected official in the City of Pittsburgh.
