Coordinating Ambassadors are the glue that holds the Community together and the linchpin between the One Young World team based in London and the 15,500+ Ambassadors worldwide.

They work to sustain momentum after each Summit by organising local educational and social events, ensuring that One Young World serves the local interests and needs of their region, promoting the impact of local Ambassadors, and making useful connections between them.

Requirements for a Coordinating Ambassador

 

  • An enjoyment of connecting with others and building relationships
  • A passion for the aims of One Young World and activities of Ambassadors
  • Action-oriented individuals wanting to drive impact
  • A high level of written and spoken English
  • The ability to commit meaningful time and effort to the role
  • You must live in the region you intend to coordinate, or be a national of a country within the region
  • Personal access to a computer and internet

The Role

Coordinating Ambassadors are a dynamic and dedicated team of volunteers who work together to sustain engagement with One Young World Ambassadors in their respective geographic region.

 

How?

  • Coordinating activities to engage local Ambassadors: anything from educational events and social meetups, to roundtables and volunteer activities.
  • Collaborating with fellow Coordinating Ambassadors for the region to plan and execute regional engagement strategy
  • Identifying outstanding social impact and leadership in the region, to promote the achievements of Ambassadors in the local Community.

Coordinating Ambassadors are a respected and valued part of the One Young World team, who volunteer their time to the service of our Community. In acknowledgment of the commitment required, Coordinating Ambassadors will receive:

  • Deeper connections to a network of like-minded individuals
  • A chance to work on and shape events and engagements to suit your own social impact interests
  • Training and support from the One Young World team

Timeline

November 21st - Applications open

 

December 1st, 23:59 BST - Applications close

 

Interviews will be done on a rolling basis.

 

Week commencing 12th December - Selection

 

 

The role would be from January 2023 - December 2023.
