One Young World’s first Counsellor, Sir Bob Geldof, will today announce that he, along with Bono, Chris Martin, One Direction and 30 other acts, will record Band Aid 30 to raise money to combat the Ebola Crisis in West Africa.
The Ebola Crisis was the topic of the day during the One Young World Summit in Dublin: several delegates were prevented from travelling because of the outbreak; a petition was presented to the acting Director General of the UN in Geneva who passed it on to the Head of the WHO; Ambassadors also organised an awareness march through the streets of Dublin.
One Young World calls upon all One Young World Ambassadors and supporters to give their full backing to Sir Bob and Band Aid 30.
