Marc’s career has included architecture, consulting, engineering, evangelism, and strategy leadership roles at startups, enterprises, ISVs and CSVs. He has worked in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the United States. From this experience he brings an entrepreneurial perspective and an ability to work across the business that has been recognized by multiple awards from engineering, evangelism and sales organizations. 


His work has been featured in a number of mainstream media outlets including ABC, Advertising Age, AdWeek, TechCrunch, Ars Technica, the BBC, CNET, the Telegraph, FastCompany, Mashable, Wired, and ZDNet. 

He has 12 issued patents and 15 patents pending in the areas of cloud, mobile, and social. Marc is the author of four books on services and identity. He is also the technical editor of an upcoming book on Microservices with Docker on Microsoft Azure. 

In the area of cloud, Marc's experience spans hundreds of high profile, high scale public and hybrid cloud solutions. The result is significant experience in designing, implementing, operating, and supporting reliable cloud solutions and services at scale. This experience includes both general cloud architecture best practices as well as nuanced considerations for key scenarios (IoT, Enterprise Hybrid, Connected Car, Consumer Mobile, Big Data Pipelines, Machine Learning, Deployment Automation, Open Source Software Deployment/Configuration, etc.).
