Michael Hayman MBE

co-founder of Seven Hills

Michael is an entrepreneur, author, interviewer and co-founder of Seven Hills.

He co-authored Mission (Penguin) and is Chairman of Entrepreneurs at the private bank Coutts & Co.

Michael co-founded the national campaign for early stage enterprise, StartUp Britain, launched by then Prime Minister David Cameron, and fully supported by HM Government.

He hosts the TV show The Capital Conversation on London Live, is a regular columnist for City AM and is an experienced event host. His event interviews include Whole Foods Founder John Mackey, Wikipedia’s Jimmy Wales, the musician will.i.am, Kerry Kennedy the President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Olympic legend Jessica Ennis-Hill and London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

Michael serves on the Advisory Board of the School of Business & Management at Queen Mary University of London and is an Advisory Board member of the National Business Awards.

At the University of London he is Honorary Professor of the Purpose Economy at the School of Advanced Studies and he also holds an Honorary Doctorate (University of London, Doctor of Science (Economics) honoris causa). He is also an Honorary Fellow in Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.

Michael is a Deputy Lieutenant in the county of Surrey and a Freeman of the City of London. He was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for services to enterprise promotion, entrepreneurship & education Michael holds a Masters degree (MSc) in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) from Queen Mary University of London.
